Update...

There's filler and primer on EVERY panel of the car. She's getting a complete makeover, and she's going to look a bit different...

...because they've already purchased the paint, and did a little test spray.

It turns out, they sprayed a lovely '92 Dark Teal Green paint, instead of the '94 Emerald Green.

With the time and effort that they're putting in on this, I'm not going to have them redo the paint job in the original color.

Wow, just as I had hoped!

Looks like lady luck smiled on you, but do find another place to park in the future!

Oops!!

Well, I have to say I much prefer the Dark Teal over the Emerald Green. But that is because I empathise with somebody on here who has a tagline that goes:
"I'm only driving this black car till I find something a bit darker"

The Dark Teal will look it's best in bright sunlight. The Emerald Green being lighter is a good colour in any light. I've always liked the Dark Teal though.

Nice one. You are getting a complete makeover! However, like Ron says, I'd park it elsewhere when finished.

Update

Well, they're having a bit of an issue aligning the rear window. I suspect that it's because I need a new window regulator, but they insist that the regulator wasn't damaged.

The rear lower corner of the window needs to come out a little (1/8 inch), so that the top leading edge can fit into the seal properly.

Until this is done, the paint guy isn't going to be doing any painting.

I think I'll just find a regulator and send it to them to replace it...although riding the bus seems to be a much more relaxing way to commute.

I'll be doing that until the paint cures, and Rockblocker can provide me with the paint protection that I'll need in order to keep her paint looking new.

Update

Svixen got back from the body shop last Thursday with a really beautiful paint job done. They had filled every single dent, ding, and scratch before doing this, AND realigned the bumper so it's now on straight.

It's a beautiful thing.

I bought her a new pair of tires (FWD), and then took her to meet her new owner. Her new owner is an SVX owner whose ride developed MAJOR electrical problems, and trans problems that put it in the last stages of life.

Svixen will be loved in her new home, and well taken care of, I've been assured. I will be checking in on her from time to time, making sure the maintanence has been done.

I'll still pop in here once in a while...to drool over my dream car.
