I think that you're luck that you got your rebuilt successfully..right? Let me know when you want to eat your car...I help you to cook it better..

I do have some straight window scratches on the driver side.. how about yours?? You've any cool solutions on that ??? I think is hard..(how to remove the window scratches ??) Aren't you going to get the new doors or new windows after you finish eating the old ones..?

A dab of salt here, a little paprika there...some...alot of tenderizer...I can't eat the car as it's how I get to the grocery store to buy the above ingredience. Cathc 22.

Tranny rebuild seems "ok". I am less and less happy with the shift characteristics. I'll post about that later.

I keep seeing something about removing the scrathces. Some checmical that can be bought. I'm not doing anything until I repair the cause in the first place.

Price quoted from Mastro Subaru in Tampa = $75.00 + tax. This quote is about two months old. FYI

My solution to the scratch problem involves electrical tape. In fact the solution to MOST of my problems in life involves some kinda' tape.
Anyway, I simply ran a vertical strip of black tape on both sides of the glass to cover the blemished portion. When I get admiring glances from the masses, I say, "Yes, it's called the window within the window within the window coupe". Eat yer heart out McLaren!

I was quoted $85 CDN (~$55 USD) new from a former Subaru dealership. I still get everything through them because they're cheaper than the current Subaru dealership here in Winnipeg.

floor mats/smoke

Kam, Hi and welcome too (I'm also new here). I recently picked up SVX floormats from SvxParts.Com for $58. They are really nice, and of the same high quality as the SVX. The ones on Ebay are grey, by the way, if that's the color you want. The remote key
is around $50 from them, but it says they are on backorder from
Subaru. As far as smoke odor, I was told by a detailer to get as much fresh air into the car as possible, and it will eventually clear out, so you may want to drive to Kansas, Oklahoma , or get on a freeway with all the windows/moonroof open. Otherwise, besides shampooing everything, they said they have some ozone treatment that they can use to clean out the ductwork (in case your smoke smell is also there when the heat/AC is on.
