Re: OK, Time for a nice clean LSi

Dang, the wife's exact car that was totaled 7 years ago. And we paid 5900 in '05 back then with 45k miles-these are a good investment!

Re: OK, Time for a nice clean LSi

Who knew? If we still had our 3 rd on, the black 97, with maybe 90k on it by now, it sounds like a $3k upside form what we paid...! Almost as good as Ford GT, well, almost.

Cool Re: OK, Time for a nice clean LSi

Yep, thanks, watching that one too. 3x the miles, 2 years older and twice the price of what we paid for our last 97 in '05-told you these were excellent investments! Just not from brand new of course...we paid 22k for our brand new 92 late in 92...

Re: OK, Time for a nice clean LSi

Are you in the treasure coast now? I'm going to sell my 94 lsi soon. It's the black car that used to be at the top of ECUtune.com and now is at the top of www.subiechips.com. It's never left Florida and has been the test bed for everything I've ever developed for SVXs so with it you will get the bragging rights of owning a piece of performance SVX history if you will.

This car is a much safer bet than anything else you might find. You don't have to worry about the head gaskets or it dripping oil on your driveway. It has a fresh JDM driveline with a VTD transmission I upgraded and an engine I took down to the short block and sealed back up so you have all new gaskets including head gaskets. All new coils, all new hoses, all new everything. The performance characteristics of the VTD transmission are really much better than the US market cars also and the JDM engine doesn't have EGR so you don't have to worry about that ever failing on you now that the parts are no longer available. I have a thread on the driveline swap here: http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/showthread.php?t=60414

The car has all the other things you might want upgraded like an extremely high capacity plate and fin transmission cooler with an inline thermostat controlling a high performance fan that keeps the atf temp to 176 degrees no matter what, drilled and slotted rotors, I rebuilt the calipers with genuine Subaru rebuild kits. The driveshaft and radiator were replaced with new parts from the dealer so you don't have to worry about them either.

The car was painted with DuPont premier polyurethane shortly after I got it so it is very shiny. The headlights have polyurethane clear coat as well so they are crystal clear and will stay that way forever--they don't yellow or require polishing.

I'm not giving it away but if you really want a nice SVX you should come see it.

Re: OK, Time for a nice clean LSi

I posted this picture on the forums the other day when suggesting someone paint their waterfall grill. I figured as long as it was hanging around I'd share it with you.

Also I forgot to mention the stereo. It has a Pioneer premier head unit and Infinity kappa separates all around.
