e &m rigoli eg33 performance engine rebuild

i asked them for a quote to build an eg with 300/350 hp(they can build it with more if need be lol) lowered comp, forged pistons race bearings all that good stuff ready for a turbo or supercharger they replied and damn i got some saving to do haha but this is what they said

"for that power we can build the engine with billet rods forged pistons race bearings recondition the heads leaveing them standard. the price will come to 13000 if you supply engine take 2500 off."

im not sure whether the price is with a manual conversion too but yeah

For $13000 I could get an SVX pushing 500hp with a built powertrain. That's ridiculous.

Is that including engine management? Is that including the fuel system (injectors, etc)?

Can you please post where you could get this done? I purchased my SVX for around 7k but if I could have simply went this route, the possibility would not have been remote.

Does this mean that I can do this for 6k now that I have an SVX itself? Who's the source?

That doesn't include the car.

I'll do my work in Canadian funds so make it $16000

Autronic SM4 ECM - $2500
Garret gt35r Turbo - $1500
Forged pistons - $1000
Machine work - $1500
6MT swap - $3500
Uprated clutch - $1000
Wastegate - $500
Meth system - $1000
Fabrication parts (piping, metal stock, etc) - $200
Tuning - $1500

Probably around 60-80 hours work, but that would be nearly bulletproof

So if you were going to get it done at a shop, tack on another 5-8 grand to the price tag. If you pick up some tools and get dirty, you'll save a ton of money and have something that is truly yours.

I made 380hp on a 2.2L with stock rods. Add another 2 cylinders to that, 570hp. I wouldn't push it much past that on the stockers tho. I upgraded to Eagle rods for the next phase of my build.

Getting 500hp out of my 2.2L is costing me around 20 grand. It should be a hell of a lot less to get it out of a 3.3.

+1 cost of rods, bearings, valves, cams, headers, full exhaust... That GT35 isn't gonna help you... $13000 doesn't go very far for custom parts.

Re: e &m rigoli eg33 performance engine rebuild

hahahh id love to do that if i could ever save the cash lol i still got a 10 g loan to pay off from my first car that i totaled and buyin my pearlie then hopefully i can save another prob 20 g to get 1000 hp lol and i think i may need a stronger drive train for that too . but in all seriousness i think i would be dangerous enuf with the 350 hp and six speed let alone another 650 hp on top hahha i think they are only legally allowed to make up to 500 hp on a road legal car

Re: e &m rigoli eg33 performance engine rebuild

im not sure about engine management or fuel system
i wouldn't have the faintest idea whether it would be sleeved or not
i didnt get a full list of what they quoted to do maybe they were hoping i was a rich boy with no sense and would just fork it out
i will ask them for a fully detailed list of what they would do with the engine , eng man sys ,and fuel sys , and drivetrain etc and post it

Also, you should factor in the possibility that they have no clue what they are talking about when it comes to an EG33.

What they said when they read the e-mail:

"Dude, what's an EG33?"

"I dunno. He said Subaru right? How much is a really good STi motor?"
