NSX vs. SVX
Straight line acceleration, from rolling at 65mph up to 145mph, who will most likely win?

the nsx has 290 if I'm not mistaken... that and a few hundred pounds lighter... I'd probably say the nsx hands down.... unless were talking supercharged svx?

....Whats the point of a race that judges only straight line acceleration from such obscure speeds?
even if the svx DID win, would that make it fast?

I don't know....but I smoked a NSX on the Dragon in my XT6....
Probably more because of the drivers, but it was a cool feeling none the less

The NSX should handily lap a stock SVX at the track...unless there's a foot of snow on the ground.

Hah, some kids yesterday were asking me what year my NSX was. I told them it was a subaru and they didn't believe me.

Just so we're all on the same page here. A 65 mile an hour start, to 145, that would be a highway, and this would all be a about some kind of street race.
Correct? Yeah, that's against tos, amirite?

It's hypothetical and vaguely so, so no it is not against the rules.
-- NSX wins. 94-97 SVX are limited to 143 for starters. Good luck getting a stock 92 or 93 up there anytime this week. It takes a lot of distance.

hmmmmm NSX curb weight, 3,069 lbs with 3.2 l v-6 290hp. SVX does not stand a chance. Remember its suggested retail price is un upwards of $80,000
How bout a Honda s2000 vs a NSX =] s2000 has 240 hp and wieghs in at 2855lbs =] that would be a good matchup.. I think..

I am, AGAIN, going to 'learn' how to be 'nice' to the druggies, users, abusers and other 'less fortunates' that I deal with on my daily duties. Since the people that would actually NEED the training have chosen to take 'vacation days', and have enough 'seniority' to actually GET the days off, they will be preaching to the choir! I think that there is a few seats available if you wish to be 'trained to be 'nice' by PROFESSIONALS'!!! I call this the 'water on a duck's back syndrome', since the ones that need the training will NOT be THERE!!!

People forget that the automatic NSX was slow with a capital SUCKS.
0-60 was 7.5sc, mid 15's 1/4 mile, all for nearly $100K. |

Performance: 0-60 in 5.7 seconds, 1/4 mile in 14.0 seconds.. where did you get your numbers from? no way a SVX can take a NSX. Unless a modified light weight SVX takes it to the course. The NSX has a limited and expensive aftermarket(it is a unique build) But the SVX has a chance at a cheaper price..
