They're worth looking into Alan. My parents and a gal at work bought one on my recommendation, and both love 'em. I agree it's nice to be able to check one out live. They're interesting in that the manufacturer advises against electric blanket and mattress pad use, as both negatively effect the body heating of the memory foam.

seriously....lay off the caffeine and coffee stuff, take a shower before you go to bed...it relaxes the body......stretch....have a comfy pillow and mattress and don't worry about tomorrows troubles until the next day.

Diet and excersize will help too

C4 might leave a mark

I bought a couple of those Tempur pillows last year. Worth every penny. I have never slept so well. The first few nights were difficult, but soon got used to the different feel.

No Caffeine for almost three years, Overstuffed Goose Down pillow, Sleep Number bed, exercise, healthier eating, even a CPAP machine coupled with 10mg Ambien and 200mg Trazadone and I still wake up all the time (at least 6 times a night for 15min or more)

When the body doesn't want you to sleep (self-destructive disorder like anxiety, depression, etc.) you're not going to sleep.

You need to find the root cause of the sleep problem. Whether it is physical or mental. Most insurances cover sleep disorders and related treatment.

Good luck and Sweet Dreams

If it's not your own wife, then a "dirt nap" is in order.

You either don't wake up from those, or wake up in heaven, or hell.

I'd say the hell scenario is more in order. There is that whole "Thou shall not covert thy neighbor's wife" thing to deal with.

However, strict interpretation concludes that there is no sin committed if you sleep with an unmarried woman. Interesting, huh?

yeah, i get 4-6 hours of sleep per night (if i'm lucky), and i just deal with it. i don't want to take sleeping pills all the time. actually, i've tried sleeping pills, and they don't work, either. every once in a while, i just shut down and sleep/lay around all day on a Saturday or Sunday if i'm not working.

hmm..i was actually planning to buy a bed this weekend. what do you guys recommend?

this 10 year old mattress is worn out and i need a new one. i was also thinking about buying one of those platform bedframes and just using one mattress versus a mattress and a box.

any suggestions?

check out one of those Sleep Number beds - they have stores in most malls and you can try it out. i'm done with farking coil spring mattresses.

check out a Tempurpedic, too - some mattress stores carry them.

i've probably wasted my time typing, because you are a cheap jackass, and these are kinda pricey - you will just end up buying a bale of hay to sleep and poop on.

.........Its 5 AM right now..and I have yet to fall asleep. As ricochet mentioned earlier, I have the fan going , always do. that kinda helps me sleep...but MAN im under so much stress lately..its a wonder I sleep at all. Oh, and when I do sleep, I oversleep and feel groggy the next day (well, the half thats left)
Drugs are usless
I need a better matress. In my family, the matress is like...the family heirloom or something. I dont even WANT to know how many people my matress has been used by.
And the whole sex makes you sleep better thing....Im a virgin. Gotta fix that sooner or later or Im going to pop. Actually..thats a little portion of the stress thats keeping me awake in the first place.
Ooh...heres a good tip. dont eat 15 whitecastle hamburgers and expect to sleep an hour later. If you DO eat 15 whitecastle hamburgers, get to sleep IMIDIATLY, while you still have trouble moving, otherwise you start to get energy from the vitimians and protien.
So here I am..not asleep...Actually, the ONLY person on the forum board at this time. Yeah, this helps me sleep somehow or another...reading miles apon miles of text pertaining to something or another...eventually I just kinda get SO bored that I sleep. Hopefully this did the trick, good luck sleeping (Ill need it too)

Red face

Okay...so I didnt fall asleep untill about.....6:00 Ironicly, I had Dream Theater's song "Wait for Sleep" stuck in my head.Speaking of "nightmares"
This is a little weird.....
I had a dream where [wavydream=intro]
Me and John (AvPPoW) were coming back from his house to my house. Tom's SVX was parked in my driveway. We went inside and heard some stuff happening from my basement, where we have my pool table. So me and john go downstairs...and WHO is playing pool at my house?

Chike and Tom!
(Chiketkd and Tom'sSVX for all the new guys)
So anyhow, Chike yells "Heeeeeey guys!" and runs over and gives us each a hug. from there I prettymuch forget what happened.

[/Wavydream]

Okay, so I wake up this morning and call John. we chat for a few minutes and I tell him my dream. his response was probly weirder than my dream

"....Me too. Except Chike was upstairs and he was prettymuch ducking because of the low celings.I dont remember tom being there either"

So there you have it....Whitecastle hamburgers, when eaten in excess of a dozen (John had 17, me with only 15) make you dream of Chike and apperently my house. Ill have to do more "research" later.
And seriously, im not lying a single word of this...I couldn't make something this odd up even if I tried! lol
