when will the outrage begin ?

It started with the "credit bureaeus" amassing your bill paying history. What started out as protected information between you, your employer and the tax man, became a commodity. Of course it made getting loans easier (Is that a good thing?) but something that was supposed to be between you and the bank, has now exploded into anyone buying your credit history, bombarding you with offers and profiting off YOUR information as if it belonged to them.

Get this: LEGALLY you don't own your own credit history information. The courts have said "they" do. I don't know who "they" are, but I know one thing for sure: It's not you!

Okay, that's your "credit history." Well guess what, how your MEDICAL history is about to follow the exact same path. Read the paragraph above and visualize the process. Now read this:

http://www.dfw.com/mld/dfw/news/opinion/13791667.htm

Do you want your medical history to be traded amoung others as tho it belongs to them? What much does it take to outrage a nation?

PS, you will also note this same sort of thing was started under the previous administration. There IS NO DIFFERENCE between the two major parties. Only the theory they use to strip you of your rights, dignity and property.

We have rights, dignity, and property? So far the goverment has stolen 3 properties from my family since the fifties, and I'm not talking little properties, but significant landmarks, just to destroy one of them, flood another, so, how exactly can we stop it?

never. it's unpossible because our government loves each and every one of us the same way jesus and god loves us. we aren't just a number, we are friends. i mean just the other day i shook the hand of my congressman. nice chap. didn't get his name though.

the government cares about me so much that they took the time to send me autographed photo of george and his wife. no other leader in the world actually goes through the trouble to include me in his friends list and send me autographed photos. i love my government and my government loves me.

Here's the thing: It's not the government that runs this country; it's corporations. And corporations are the entities that have made a commodity of personal information. What's so chilling about the notion of "commercial" medical databanks is that, with genetic testing for a predisposition to disease (say, if cancer runs in your family), and data accessible from everyone from your doctor to the drugstore where you use a discount card to save a buck or two (tracking your purchases all the while), it could get to the point folks are excluded from medical insurance or even treatment based on these medical "ratings," just as a credit rating establishes worthiness for a credit card or mortgage.

"Sorry, but your ratings exclude you from eligibility for a transplant. Says here you'll probably develop cancer within the next ten years. Bummer."

Welcome to the information age. Everybody wants it, and the Government is first in line.

I keep getting adds from viagra, and as far as my doctor has heard, my comments have been." can I get something for the WIFE???"

No prob here !!!! If i responded to all the 'ENLARGEMENT' adds , I would have to move on to livestock!!!
