info for engine rebuild.

I planning on getting another engine for a project. I need some info from anyone who has a manual. I need all the engine specs for a rebuild. i.e. Torque specs, compression, timing ect. If you could scan the engine section of the manual and email it, or photocopy it and mail it I'd owe you. Anyone here that can help me out?

Scanning the entire engine section and posting it would be a pretty big deal. I don't have a problem with scanning a page or two for somebody occasionally, but I would have a problem with scanning and posting an entire section. First, it'd be a lot of work. Second, it's a much larger copyright offense.

I recommend that you buy the factory service manuals.

For something cheaper and eaisier to find just go to Pepboys, Auto Palace or Zone or any of those type stores. They should have the Chiltons book that has all that info and alot more that you could care less about. Good buy thoe.

Cliton's manual for SVX

Try this link.
http://www.partsamerica.com/PartDeta...pe=626&PTSet=A

if it does not work then try:

www.advanceautoparts.com

and use a 92 SVX and click on repair manual. I just bought one a few months ago. It is a special order though.

engine rebuild

i am going to be rebuilding my engine here in the next couple months. is there any way you might be able to write down, after you are done, all the specs that i will need? or just strange stuff that you found while doing it that might require a special way of doing it? I've researched a lot but mostly the electrical systems, i know those really well, if you need any help of that sort.

I'm near Cape May. Saddly, North Jersey can be pretty far. I wouldnt mind helping you out if you want to dedicate a weekend and a place for me to crash. I'll make the drive so I can get a little exsperience. I have done rebuilds on older V-8 Chevys, but never anything this new, and never anything with fuel injection.

That's a pretty big request. I've torn my engine down to replace headgaskets and couldn't even think about a complete re-build without the service manuals (especially after reviewing the section on removing pistons and rods).

I strongly recommend the purchase of the service manuals if you intend on doing this job yourself.

where

does anyone know where to get the service manual for under $100? I made the mistake of buying that one on cd off e-bay and that thing is pretty much worthless. I have the chilton book but need something more in depth.
