When the Auto was in it I never really went too fast at all... I think I got up to about 120 once on I-95 south between Florence, SC and Charleston, SC...

However when the 5 speed got put in I took it up to 150mph on I-16 between Savannah, GA and Atlanta, GA when I was chasing my friend in his 300+hp WRX... I managed to stay right on his tail... He stopped pulling away at about 120 and I actually started to reel him in!!!. Still had some to go too when I slowed but not much because I was approaching the rev-limited top speed of the USDM WRX tranny... I believe it is right about 165mph or something... The car felt great at that speed!!! Unbelievable!!! I had only been that fast in a 1999 Mustang Cobra before and it handled worse than the SVX... With the 5 speed it just kept on pulling and pulling all the way up to 150 or 155 (where ever it was actually that I backed off)... I don't think that I'll go that fast again though... It was kinda scary if ya think about what could happen if one little thing went wrong at that speed... Very stupid thing to do on my part....

On my SVX (AT) it is 3000 sharp.

110 on Belt Parkway in Queens. Trust me, that's no small feat.

140 on NSP in LI. Very easy and secure, and definitely had more to go. I think I was pulling 4250 RPMs.

And at 80, my RPMs are steady with the TC lockup at 2,750. 100 is 3,100, also with TC lockup.

My traney took a $hit 9 days after I got my car and I never got it right after that, 4th gear never worked. In third gear I once got it going OK, I thought I was at 55 or so, I looked down and saw 110mph and once I was taking this girl home and she said "wow, were doing almost 100mph and it's so smooth"... Of course later she used those terible words "you wouldn't need to wear a condom", silly girl, not the way to get me... the fastest these things go in 3rd is 120mph, and it's like you're standing still! I would like to build a 200mph car, but that won't happen too soon.

i've hit 155 in my svx before, while showing it off relatively soon after i got it, was showing off for my friend w/ a mustang GT, his jaw dropped when i was cruising at 110 and punched it and the acceleration was still as strong as it was he took some pictures of the speedo but i never got them

110 on Belt Parkway in Queens- That's insane!- Much crazier than 150 on any other road! It's usually a parking lot traffic jam. If you found it empty (probably 3:00AM), you still had to spend much more energy dodging potholes and abandoned cars than driving fast!

You guys need to pick a fun road like GA 60 north of Dahlonega- not much speed, but what a blast to drive!!

Absolutely. Georgia 180 between Vogel State Park and Suches is a worthwhile ride, too.
