I really like the look of the silver pontoons.
Does it have dual propellers or just one prop connected to the drive shaft?

Rob, sorry for just now responding.

As we all know, the whole "internet property" thing is still too vague that not even lawyers can agree (not that they ever can).

Personally, I wouldn't use "Fiberglassics" more as a CYA measure. You may just be asking for confrontation if you use it (not that you're not accustomed to confrontation ) You could certainly use "Fiberglass Classics" which, I would think, would garner more 'hits' in a search, and be less likely to bring any grief.

As for using photos, I say, post away. Just have a disclaimer (in the smallest of "mouse type" experessing the fact that the material, as far as you know is uncopyrighted and that if there are any copyrighted photos you'd be willing to remove them upon the owner's written request.

There's my 2 pennies. Which won't even buy a cup of coffee.

Thanks for your help everyone. Well... I'm not sure what to do.

I did change the name, to "FibREglassics", so it is spelled slightly different. I also talked to the owners, and told them why I felt what they were doing was wrong.

Well, long story short, THEY MADE THE MESSAGEBOARD FREE, all because of me, and the attention my site recieved. You can still pay $20 to become a member and everything.... but... well, basically, I'm just not sure if there's a reason for my site to exist anymore. >shrug<

BTW, for Trevor: Its a 14ft familyish runabout built in the mid 60s (guess), with a 28 h.p. 1965 Johnson Seahorse outboard(that I'm almost done restoring). The boat is just a classic little fiberglass boat, with two rows of bench seats, a red cap, and a white hull. It's not a deep V or anything, nor will it go real fast, but it should be enough to putter aroud in, and go waterskiing with (with 2 skis, not slalom). And I'm in WI, so no seas around here. The river provides access to all the lakes around here.

Thanks for the info Rob. You have just the right size for what you have in mind. It would appear you made a great buy. You will no doubt know plenty about outboards and will be making sure that you replace the water pump impeller as number one on your list so as to make sure your tell tail always tells you the right tale.

What about a turbo so you can single ski

Actually, I already restored a 1951 Mercury Hurricane with my dad. It's a sweet engine. It has the quicksilver lower unit, and special race carbs. On a hydroplane it should do around 50-60. with around 20hp. Hehe.
