What locked my front wheels?
I have a 92 LSI with 189,000 miles. This morning I manage to lose all my tranny fluid. THE car started and would not move forward or reverse. I had it taken to my shop and was told that it needed 4 qts of tranny fluid, and the front end was still locked! Does someone have any idea of what can cause this problem! FOrgot to mention, I had the tranny rebuilt 2 yrs ago, and it only has approx 9K on it. Thanks!

Re: What locked my front wheels?
The question is how did you lose all your fluid and over what period of time and mileage? You could have damaged a lot of internals.

Re: What locked my front wheels?
I'm going with "completely toasted transmission" on this one.

Re: What locked my front wheels?
Update: The problem was caused by the front diff housing getting a crack. It seems my daughter hit a pothole hard enough to crack the casing. Luckily, no damage to the transmission! Lucky. Thanks
