Oil Leak on the top of motor??

I've been trying to get rid of my oil leaks.

There is still one I can't find. Oil is pooling up on the top of the motor on the drivers side. It then leaks down the back of the motor right on the exhaust.

Anyone have any ideas??

Thanks Jeff

Mine does that too... No clue where it's coming from thouhg ... Just keep checking your oil... It's a Flat motor so it's gonna leak oil... The day that mine's NOT leaking is the day I'll be worried

Re: Oil Leak on the top of motor??

I just got done reading it and that seems like it could be it.

I also have a new PCV valve and it does it. I wonder if anyone has plumbed in a catch can to collect the oil out of the valve cover breather before it gets to the intake.

I hope that all of us having this problem, don't have severe blow-by causing it.

No, it's oil and on the wrong side of the motor.

Re: Oil Leak on the top of motor??

I just rerouted the valve cover breathers into the frame rails and put some plugs on the intake duct. If it goes away I'll know that the breathers are filling up the intake with oil.

Re: Oil Leak on the top of motor??

If it's on the Driver's side, check the big O-Ring on the bottom of the filler tube, where is meets the head....

Re: Oil Leak on the top of motor??

WOW, it is leaking there. I still think there is another leak some where else though.
This car keeps me thinking, I like challenges.
