Question motor rebuid

I'm seriously considering pulling the motor out of my wrecked svx and doing a full rebuild, any suggestions on where to get bearings, pistons, gaskets...
not sure if i'll just beef up stock a little or go full bore twin turbo yet.
also, difficulty level? I've done a few 2 stroke rebuilds, this will def. be a learning experience.

thanks.

Re: motor rebuid

Hi-Comp EG33 and Standalone. Do eeeeeett!! Pistons have to be custom I believe, though I'm sure someone must've ordered a set of turbo pistons from either Ross Racing or JE Pistons at some point in time. Also, I'm thinking that maybe some of the 22b rotating assembly may fit, since my understanding is that the EG33 is an EJ22 with 2 more pistons, though head tech could be fairly different.

We all know the aftermarket companies we'd go for, and after googling around for 5 minutes, I don't think it'd be wise to trust either a name brand aftermarket company or the dealer to get parts for this.

thanks, it's a start. so pistons are basically a custom order deal then?

Re: motor rebuid

guess so , i think here in montreal i wanted stock piston and they were about 260 $ EACH PISTON !! , so thats why i didn't rebuilt my old svx. if that would happen again i think i might go with customs...maybe they would be cheaper !!
