Svx Bodykit

while looking at svx stuff, I keep thinking about what a heavily modded svx, to update the car, would look like. well here it is...and I think its gorgeous minus the spoiler. I don't like the paint either, but this is all minor.

I think that its a good flow, I don't like some of the over exaggerated lines, a little too ricey for me in some areas. but the overall, more modern feel is pretty sweet imo.

Repost.

Some of us like it, most of us don't.

I like most of it.

It still screams early 90s to me though, and that's a good thing.

ya. It still has the era it was made all over it, but its got some updated body design that I think makes it look more aggressive, more sporty. I liked most of it too, just not too keen on the spoiler, the color, and some minor tweaks to the kit itself and it'd look like it came out of the factory.

Wasn't there already a thread here about that car? It was on a Russian autoblog somewhere, had lots of high-res pics and such. I'll go looking...

EDIT: Found it.

While I don't dig the headlights or front grill at all, i'd go with the side skirts, rear bumper, and front bumper. I think it has a pretty good look to it. However, i'm not about to spend $32837597802943 to do that to my car, when that money could be spent much more wisely.

Does the drag coeficient go down and the mpg go up with all that front air dam and side skirts?

Mostly likely yes, slightly, and no, not unless you drive fast on the highway, a lot.

Like I said in the other thread that brought up this kit, I think minus that spoiler and the paint job it looks great. Throw some black paint some 15% tint all around and the stock or provo spoiler on that beast and she'd be sexy as hell... just my opinion. Honestly though, we need more options like this out there, maybe not as extreme but people in the states other than stevesby need to start makin kits. The market is growing with these cars. Especially with the new options coming out and AWD inc's work and some of the other members on here, that are chasing power. I think we need more exterior mods, I'm not onto crazy spoilers so that's not what I'm talkin about. I'm talkin, the kits different hoods more readily available, I know tom was workin on class glass hoods, and also cheaper clear lens kits, stuff like that. Anyway, just my 2 cents.

otpinion...I like that there arent any aftermarkeet kits like that for the svx, and the only available to purchace exterior modifications are small runs done by enthusiasts who appreciate the car for what it is, and not by corperations who want the car to look like something it isnt
