WRX_SVXGirl, You said "had".
Hope it was a typo and yours wasn't stolen. I hear that is a bounty on those little things for the crooked people types?

I returned my first one as "not functional" because it couldn't work the satellites through the windshield. I worked out a method to beat it at it's game. Some of the SVX windshields (maybe all?) may make it a bit tough to use but I can work around that.

With all my driving GPS saves lots of time and money. No more looking for addresses with missing streets at intersections! (Washington state)

Before my GPS I would relay sit up and take notice every time I saw
JaySVX and the…
Not all who wander are lost...

I kept thinking that JaySVX person must be following me but, little does he know. I didn’t get lost, I just about I stayed lost! Remember… in the (Tacoma WA area) It is a zoo up here. That was then…Now I am a happy camper!!

My Magellan navigator for me is the greatest thing since sliced bread!
You would have had to try to eat one of my mothers home made biscuits to realize the magnitude of that statement.

Broken turn signal, broken finger, broken brain?

Glenn

As a corollary to your "no turn signals" theme, yes, those on the phone almost never signal their intent to do anything. But I am also incensed by the buyers of (usually) expensive luxury cars who as a general practice don't signal anything, except to flip the bird if they are honked at for cutting into traffic. I guess they believe that when they have paid $50K + for a car, they have bought the road as well. And of course, when they're on the phone...

Bah!

Paul

i dont think its really what youre doing while your driving that matters, its how well you can drive while doing something else. i know plenty of people who can concentrate on the road while still driving very safe. on the other hand, i have a friend who cant even speak to you while she drives, she is a horrible driver no matter what though. her parents went all the way to California (we live in CO). she was buying a 98 ford explorer with about as many miles as my svx (140K) for $900, which is a pretty good deal, it WAS a really really nice ford. first day they get back she is on her way to pick me up for a bonfire, and wrecks it on a dirt road. she claims she was only going 30, but there is NO way she could have wrecked going that slow. i thought she learned a lesson, but shes back on the road driving worse than ever, i refuse to ride with her at all. i just hope next time she wrecks (there will be a next time) she doesnt hit a family or kill or hurt someone. shes still paying for the damages she did. i just think some people shouldnt drive at all. the competent ones can be safe as they answer their phone or change the cd, or at least have the common sense to not do those things while moving in a Xthousand lb piece of metal.

Aside from the texters (i hate you all) and people not using their blinkers I really hate all the cars I get behind w/o brake lights. I am fairly certain that if you have your brake lights out then the dummy light goes off on the dash on most cars on the road today. Even my friends can't believe how these people are magnetically attracted to the front of my car. (I have only hit one car which ran it's red light) I have been behind 6 so far this year, and we are only in February!

You should see me type! It is just a blur... Oh, that would probably be because I need glasses, the blur thing. Spent half a century without typing till I got a puter. (took me about 10 minutes to type this )

Our dumb spell checker can't distinguish between our had and have either.
Now is up to 20 minutes.
Take care,
Keith
