Is the light still on or did it go away shortly after it came on? Sometimes it tends to come on a for a sec and go away. Mine did that twice since i had it ( 1 year)

Stayed On. Comes on when I start the car and stays lighted until I turn it off.

hmm could be an ABS sensor sticking. I'm sure someone else will be able to help you out.

Look in the "How To" documents. There is a section in there for reading ABS trouble codes from the blinking light on the ABS computer, which is located behind the front passenger seat under a little flap of carpet.

Dave

P.S. A malfunctioning ABS system would not make your brakes feel any different during normal driving. ABS only kicks in when it senses an impending wheel lock up. At all other times the ABS system sits there and does nothing.

I am 99% sure it's the sensors at each wheel. look: push your brakes while driving and see if the ABS is working. if it is you will notice the car imbalancing a little bit (either to the left or right)when stopping, so it is one of the sensors. if you feel that the ABS is not working (the vibration under the pedal), so you need to check with the previous thread of red95svx

With or without ABS the car shouldn't pull left or right. If you are suggesting Spear, that he slam the brakes to figure out if any one of the four wheels are locking, that could be dangerous and will put wear on any tire that does lock up (Maybe even putting a flat spot on it). Like Dave said, you'll only notice ABS when it kicks in due to impending wheel lock. Also, there will not always be vibration (in the brake pedal) when the ABS kicks in. The ABS how-to would be the best way to start. Good luck

If ANYTHING fails on the ABS system the ENTIRE ABS system shuts down as a safety precaution.

Best thing is to check the code. (http://svx-iw.com/ - click codes)
