Re: Hijack this thread: The Sequel!!

I've used a Columbia300 Tremor from about 5th grade until 2 years ago (became my spare ball after it had a huge gash in the oil line and about 2000 games on it probably), and for the last 2 years a Brunswick Fuze Navy Sparkle that a friend gave to me after he used it for a couple years... It's been showing it's age and use and feel it's time to actually get something new. I'm going with a Brunswick Wicked Siege and dropping from 16lb to 15lb.

Hoping to add a few more pins next year as I hadn't bowled any leagues from freshman year of highschool ('01) until the fall of '08 when I had a 188 average, last year finished with a 195 avg and have a 201 with a week or 2 left.

What ball have you been using primarily Ken?

That seems to help most of us league bowlers as well.

the ball i'm currently using is a columbia rival purchased in 2008. i also dropped down to a 15# after using a 16# ball since high school (1987). my average is 203, down from 205 at winter break, but it's my highest ever. my 300/802 on 02/13/2007 was bowled with a columbia rip purchased in 2001 or 2002. it's the ball that jacked up my finger.

I'm still waiting for a 300... I've had 4 or 5 278/279 games... Ran them through the 9th one game this year but then my wrist gave out on the first ball of the 10th... I was disappointed but wasn't too worried. I would have been pissed if a damn 10 pin stayed up or some crap like that. I'm sure it will happen sometime, or at least I can hope.

Re: Hijack this thread: The Sequel!!

my average is about 95 without the bumpers. Much better with the bumpers in place.

My average would go way down with bumpers... I wouldn't be able to pick up most spares on the right side of the lane, and some of my "first" balls go out so far they are right on the edge of the lane sometimes and would otherwise hit the bumper.

I can however throw a solid 150+ average throwing between my legs with a natural bowling style...

That just means you're too good for the lanes if you have that problem

I wasn't sure at first, but I think I've got it figured out.

I think the terrible videotaped TV actually adds to the piece.
