I got another one (SVX)!

Many of you may know about/remember the terrible post from months ago that was all about the totaling of my shiny blue SVX... That was definitely a sad period of time, especially since I was only 17 and my parents forced me to buy a 4Runner as a replacement vehicle. That post is here.

But hey, why be so sad now that I have another one!? On Sunday, I took a special trip of about 400 miles to see my girlfriend (at her college), and to look at an SVX. It's a red 1994 LE, has 122k miles, a spoiler, and a new tranny. Exterior is in good condition, interior is in even better condition. There are only two things wrong with the car so far: the paint on the wing and the rear-view mirrors is fading slightly, and the trunk release lever doesn't work (I need to open it with the key). Besides those two waaaay tiny things, I'm loving having my *old* car back!

Already put some nice Yokohama tires on it, and dropped in a K&N air filter.

I'm so happy that I just had to share, sorry...

Great news!

I suppose you've already checked that lever on the lock in the trunk, eh?

Ditto. If you can't pull UP on the trunk release, just open it via key, and flip that plastic lever on the inside of the trunklid. Viola! Fixed! Just don't do it in front of the seller so you can talk him down a little bit "But the trunk is broken, I'll give you $500!"

hehe

Thumbs up whoa.

I totally, completely forgot about the trunk lever disabler thingy... Thanks a ton guys! It totally works ok now.

Now that was a blonde moment, for sure.
