SVX chiltons manual?

I was wondering if the SVX has a chiltons manual that i could buy. If no one wants to buy my SVX im going to buy the manual and fix everything myself so i can keep it. I am trying to do everything i can to keep my car.

Chilton Manual

There is no SVX specific manual, however, there is a Chilton Manual (#64302) which covers all Coupes / Sedans / Wagons from 1985 - 1986 and this manual includes the SVX as well as the XT series.

Hope this helps,

Jonathan

What would it include about the SVX? Would it show how to fix things and stuff like that? I'd rather not pay over 100 bucks for the service manual.

It shows many things, but not is the same detail that the Subaru manuals do. They are better then nothing.

It covers most basic to intermediate type repairs and maintenance. And for $20 - $30 is not a bad deal. This of course will depend upon how extensive the repairs are you intend to do.

first and foremost is the How To folder.

reaper has the cd online, do a search for his site.

autozone has (or had anyway) the chilton's manual online - for free too.

i put together an (untried/tested) automatic transaxle manual - look in my locker.

these things (along with the forum members and the search button) make up a large amount of knowledge for free.....

if you have a good internet connection Subaru sells a three day connection to the FSM for like $20 (download up to 20 sections of the manual each hour). I've never counted sections, but I think you should be able to get the whole FSM

I paid a wad of money for the factory book 5 years ago and never regreted it, of course at that time I expected to be driving my SVX for 10-15 years
