I wanna' get FAT!!

What is the widest tire that will fit on the svx without major mods? How about with minor mods?

Has anybody installed really wide tires on the rear and slightly narrower on the front.??

I think having two different tire sizes for the front and back causes our transmissions to break sooner. I know thats true for different diameters, but not sure for tire "wideness". Might want to look at some other forums before you do that just to make sure. Probably save you some money and grief

We run 275's on the racer, as does SVXride. But both cars took a good bit of trimming to get them to fit.

I think 245 is about as big as you're going to run without issues. And as Crysis mentioned if the diameter doesn't match front to rear, you're going to kill your AWD.

Yeah, what Dave said!

p.s. you might be able to fit 255/40 (if you could find them in 16") with just the right offset, negative camber and stiffer springs...

so what class are you guys in for SCCA? 245 is the widest for street touring.

ESP for me. Dave and Ben run the "RaceCar" in FP. There is no restriction on the width of the tires in either class. The Camaros in ESP are actually running 315s!
