I finally experienced "POWER" mode.
I was cruising around yesterday on a nice stretch of 60mph road.
And after feeling the torque converter lock up, I decided to stomp on it a bit. The power mode light came on and I felt the sharp downshift along with being unexpectedly pushed back in the seat. It wasn't as hard or violent as some cars I've ridden in, but I still thought it was neat. That was the first time since I bought the car three months ago. Which is probably why I did it again just before I got home. |

Re: I finally experienced "POWER" mode.
If ya like it that much you can do the power mode mod to keep your AT using more aggressive shift maps. Or you can also just use the 3 other forward drive settings to keep your engine in higher RPM's

Re: I finally experienced "POWER" mode.
I've always noticed right around 30... 28..29...30... being the sweet spot for the SVX to pull a WOT on.... how does it affect it when the power mode is already on? or does it? I'm guessing not much.
My buddy drove my SVX a week ago and he floored it around 35 or 40 and was like,... eh... that's not too bad... (though I felt not much of anything... and it really didn't haul much ass)... then I was like no no.. 30 is the sweet spot lol... slow down... and mash it at 30... and bam! lightning strikes and it really takes off... I still haven't done the power mode mod... yet. This summer... this summer!
