Re: Thread for posting useless $#!t

Speaking of useless $#!t. My 3.5 year old MacBook Pro died on me Tuesday night. Logic board failed and they estimate over $1000 to fix it. The thing isn't even worth that much anymore, so now I'm looking for a new computer (I need a Pro-line Mac for my work so it won't be cheap).

Sent from my freakin' iPhone.

Buying parts is like car payments. Someday she'll be all mine.

i don't understand how people do it in expensive areas like NY, LA, DC, etc. $500k+ for a tiny 2-bedroom shack?

good luck on your next hoose.

My Mom's mortgage on a 4 bed house with 5 acres in Colorado is less than my rent on a 1 bed apartment in West LA. I'd love to buy a house, but if I moved to a market where I could afford one then I wouldn't find work. If I stay where the work is then I'll be renting for ever.

Shoulda been a plumber. Higher hourly rate, a never ending list of clients, and either way I'm up to my elbows in other people's $#!t.

i always thought expensive housing meant higher pay. i don't necessarily believe it's true. denver's economy does not support its housing market.

thanks alan. i just need to find myself a nice private mortgage lender. renting is for the birds, i tell ya.

Re: Thread for posting useless $#!t

Those who've been keeping track may know that I'm not a fan of credit. I've payed outright for everything I've ever owned except my education. Well, I'm thinking I'm going to have to finance a new computer. I can't go without one until I save up the cash to buy it, so I'm looking at Apple's 0% APR for 12 months (assuming that they'd approve someone who's never held a credit card). Not a bad looking deal assuming I've got steady employment, I could have it payed off in a few months. If not though, I'll be into them for a ton of interest and the computer doubles in cost by month 17. I got sent home early on Thursday due to a lack of work, so I'm pretty apprehensive about committing to those payments.

This sucks. My car isn't even worth as much as a new computer.

Edit:
I just realized I'd written "assuming" twice in a row.

I thought about saying something similar but just figured its pointless...

I refuse to purchase or own anything made by Apple... but that's just me
