None of those are VCD Format. VCD uses Mpeg1 encription. There are many VCD making applications out there. Just go to and search for vcd maker and a ton will show up. L edit: ps. Your burner should come with the VCD creating software as well. Check there first because you can't just drag and drop to make VCDs. They have to be in a special format under a special folder.

I can definately help you out here!
You will need to convert your WMV file to an MPG file. I believe Tmpegenc will do that for you. All you need now is the software to burn the MPG(s) as a VCD. You can use Easy CD Creator to do this but Nero Burning Rom will do a better job and will even convert some video formats as well. see www.vcdhelp.com for lots more information

Why bother with VCD when SVCD is far superior. Convert to mpeg2 using TMPGEnc then burn using Nero for near DVD quality.
SVCD also allows you to have titles like a DVD. There are plenty of help sites out there, I use VCDhelp.com, as above

SVCD is better but less compatible with DVD players and you are limited to half the movie length. Play around with the formats and see what works for you.

i was thinking vcds cuz the music video files i dl are not that great in quality in the first place... but on a 5'' screen it won't matter much... if i had better source files i'd go for svcds too i'll let y'all know if i figure this stuff out after the weekend =)

I just got an SVCD of "The Two Towers" and it is absolutely gorgeous! DVD quality picture and sound! Had to go onto 4 cd's but worth the trouble.

Know anybody with a Mac? iDvd is extremely easy to use, and works very well.
