Insurance?

Hey I wonder what the insurance is like on one of those Neon SRT-4's. Might not be pretty.

You're wrong there. The Neon ACR came from the factory with hi-rate springs, adjustable konis, big swaybars, reduced sound deadening material, and bare bones options. Its pretty hot. :P

And what about those sporty LOOKING Z24 cavaliers?

i don't know about everyone else, but my definition of performance is a sub 6 sec 0-60 - your definition may vary. 6-8 sec i consider "sporty", 8+ is a dog.
when i see a Neon - base-model, ACR, SRT-4, whatever- i think junk. poorly designed and built, ugly, and common. your opinion may vary.

I don't think 0-60 in 7.5 seconds is slow. I think thats quite sporty. I'll tell you one thing; a neon R/T would kick the **** out of an SVX off the line.

if you read my post i said i consider 6-8 sec sporty, thus 7.5 sec would fall into that range a Neon probably WOULD kick the **** out of it, but then again, i'd be in an SVX while the other guy is in a N E O N. he'll also win a race to the junkyard.

i really don't consider the SVX fast - quite a few "family" cars nowadays will walk all over an SVX. the SVX isn't a sports car, though, its a GT - its in its element on a highway - high speed cruising in any weather. i didn't buy it to race Neons from stoplight to stoplight. its for grand touring <<puts on driving gloves and reaches for the Grey Poupon>>

Odd...

The cars on their home page are not "abstract" at all....at least compared to the pictures of the member's cars. One is a Cavalier (did they kill the Z-24?) and the other....is...
my silver SVT Focus!

I want more info on this "Quaker steak n Lube" thing....do steaks in the Quaker State come with 10W-30 sauce? Or do you dine while you car gets the treatment?

....is this a threat to Reading? Don

Perhaps they call it the "Steak & Lube" because after eating the steaks there you run to the bathroom with a case of the Hershey squirts?

Cool!

Thanks for posting that site Shark...looks like a neat place.

I'm just amazed in this day and time that "Quaker State" hasn't sued them yet! Don

C'mon Don, this is nothing new. I thought the "Penzoil 'n Boil" chain originated in WVA. You know - 'possum carcass marinated in 10W-30.
A real mountaineer treat!

Yum - Ron.
