Talking Phlat 12's

Hey!

Also 70's production Ferrari's - Berlinetta Boxer 365 & 512 - 4.4 and 5.0 Liter versions. These reflected their 70's F1 winner 312T2 - it too used a flat 12 - but probably derived from their 1971 sports racing car 312 PB and 1970 F1 312 B.

Don't forget the ultimate flat12 race car the Porsche 917 - anyone seen the 70's movie LeMans with Steve McQueen?

Bernard

My dad jad a Corsa conv. as well traded it in for a 68 Camaro as it aged (hated it and said the Corsa would out handle and out brake it anyday). Then he wised up and got himself a TR6 in 69. He still misses that car. Used to polish the engine. Hasn't touched a car aside from driving since he moved on and did the Superbug thing (I guess going from a Triumph to a bug will do that to ya).

As for Ralph Nader. He still has my vote in 2004 . I'm still mad that Micheal Morrell got less votes for governor than the Libritarian Candidate did and he was a complete moron. Didn't even know that it was illegal to destroy legal tender.

If anyone in this group has trouble sleeping, try reading "Unsafe At Any Speed" by Ralph Nader. You will sleep like a baby.

I loved the Monza & Corsa.

Hmmm...

Clinton smoked pot but didn't break any U.S. laws since he was abroad dodging the draft as a grad student.
G.W. sniffed the white stuff when he was young and stupid (I guess he old and stupid means you don't do that kind of stuff )
At least Nader doesn't pretend.

It was one of those classic models, that taught the rest of the world, how not to build an auto. Around the corner fan belt.

Ralph insured GM and the US motor industry did the right thing.

Harvey.

To bring this thread full circle:

Honda may make a flat 6 cyl. engine, but they need 2 more wheels.

Nah. Cars lean the wrong way. All you four-wheel types need 2 less wheels!

You wouldn't call a Leadwing a motorcycle, At least a real rider wouldn't. It's a 2 wheel car.

Harvey.

I loved the Monza & Corsa.

My biggest turn-off with Ralph Nader is the fact that he didn't have & probably still doesn't have a driver's license.

Excuse me while I go tell Chuck Yeager how to fly a plane.

Corvair

My first fender-bender involved driving a Corvair.
A neighbor's Corvair....
With her in it....

We were doing just FINE till she screamed out about that darned cow stuck in the creek mud....
