Help me from Switzerland....

For the bulbs, I have found the solution .....

I remove the bulb of rubber and I put a bulb for the computer material.

Re: Help me from Switzerland....

That's interesting you have a switch to raise and lower the antenna, US models just go up when you turn the radio on, and lower when you turn it off, or when the car is turned off.

Re: Help me from Switzerland....

There is a starter interupt relay under the dash bolted to the steering column in the US... This may be giving you issues as well. It is part of the security system

Re: Help me from Switzerland....

We can do things to our cars that they can't do to themselves. It looks like a lot of things are going on with it.

If your car started ok before your project began and doesn't start after you began your project there is a 90 % chance that you are the source of the problem... but not for sure.

I would suggest that everything needs to be back where it was originally and then we can help you if you describe exactly what it does.

Bon Jour Brico

What people normally do is buy the computer type bulbs as you have, and fit them into the square plastic housing to fit back in place. They have always been white, however, and we take off the green rubber sleeve from the old bulb and fit it to the new clear glass bulb.

There may be a number of people in your own area that can help you with the problems:

Currently a member here is MartyMcFly. Marty is in Austria, and he has contacts with the SVX club in Germany [www.svx-club.de ] and with members of the Subaru Club in Switzerland. [www.subaruclub.ch ]

You could try writing directly to Marty using the PM [Private Message] feature.

An ex-member who has not posted in a long while and is not on current membership is Kusi, who had the name SVXCH. Maybe Kusi sold his car and changed to a non Subaru, we don't know.

Looking back over old posts about 5 years ago there was a lady called Mrs Ramp who was responsible in the German SVX club for Swiss SVX members. To the best of my knowledge we only know of about 3 Swiss SVX owners, although it is likely that many more cars were sold. Not every owner joins a club.

Joe

Help me from Switzerland....

Hello Tomodachi,

Thank you for your assistance.
I have found a solution:
I manufacture my bulbs….
I keep the support out of rubber and I replace the led by a new led.....
(see the picture)...

For information, the 2 bulbs are for:
- switch mirrors
- switch electric antenna

The antenna of the transponder is broken...
The ignition key and the transponder do not communicate any more...
After all the connection switch - the engine start and stop immediately….
The part costs CHF 120.-(dollars 100.-)...
Also - I profit to make a second key - it is better.....

Thank you with all for your assistance.
