Hello the "specialists SVX",

Since 1 month, I am owner of the SVX and today the engine does not start...
The lamp " chek engine" is lit....

What is necessary to make?

Electronic problem or fuses?

Thank you very much for your answers.

My English is not good…

Bye - regards

Welcome to the site.

If you can provide some more details of what happened before it would not start, that would help. If there were symptoms before it would not start, those would help as well.

Re: Help me from Switzerland....

Help me from Switzerland....

Thanks for you answer.

Today, the car started (in my garage) and after 2 minutes I worked at the interior of my car but after 2 - 3 hours when I try to start the engine - more nothing...
The battery is good.
Disassembling of several parts to change the small bulbs of the instrument panel.
Check engine is lit.

Here's a couple easy to fix scenarios that could cause this:

Not enough juice from the battery. Make sure it's good.

Vacuum line is unplugged. Check your hoses. This may cause a CEL.

The engine is flooded. Give it some time to dissipate, crank it every so often. Despite being fuel injected opening the throttle does help.

Blown fuse. Remove the carpet kick panel to the left of the brake pedal, and check the fusible link box in the engine bay. This may cause a CEL.

---
I just saw your last post, I would really go over all your hoses. Check the big fat one under the air intake tube.

Re: Help me from Switzerland....

Since it only happened AFTER you disassembled the dash to replace the bulbs, you may have left a wire harness unplugged for your ignition switch or something else important. Id retrace your steps and make sure you didnt forget to plug something in.

Probable - nothing is connected....
- light roof
- switch heating seats
- switch heating rear window
- switch rear view mirrors

Beside the ignition key, there is an electronic box " Siemens".... (very small)
For what that is used?

Ignition Key Halo Light - bulbs?
On the whole I must change 6 bulbs...

Re: Help me from Switzerland....

Not sure, there are dozens of relays and control boxes on a SVX. Just take some time and go back through what you removed, making sure to pay attention to wiring. If it just happened right after you took that stuff apart, the answer HAS to be in there somewhere.

OK - I found a problem with the handle of the shifting of speed.
The electric cable " ECO" is broken....
But I do not know if it is the problem…
See picture....
