When reading my times, please note the following:
The mechanicals of the car are stock. Nothing inside the motor has been touched. The only real performance improving modification is to the ECU, sponsored by Michael of http://www.ecutune.com. The factory gear ratio of 3.54 is unchanged. We have installed a PWR aluminum performance radiator for improved cooling of the transmission and to insure that we do not crack a plastic tank and leak on the track (thats embarrassing). We have removed all the seats, head liner, carpet, insulation, and door panels. There is a single 11 pound seat installed to drive from. The weight reduction is still only stage 1 with much to still come off. On that note, I must say that this is the quickest time I have pulled in the SVX to date. My MPH were faster at Mission in 2004, but my time is more favorable here so far. Watch the web site for updates, I will try to do as often as possible. I apologize, no pictures at this moment due to two reasons. We are using a cellular modem connection that is 1/4 the speed of a standard dial up internet connection. IT mildly painful (but some internet is better than none). The other reason is that my pit crew/sponsor/brother-in-law is using a camera that stores on an XD flash card. This laptop supports USB, CF, and SD. Thusly we are hosed for photos until we return home. Photos will come as soon as possible.

I would like to say thanks to all that have helped and or supported this trip to Woodburn dragstrip. I will continue to update and hope for a promising performance tomorrow.

Quick notes:
Round 1 has passed and I beat my competitor. I go to the next round. Since my R/T was so much better than the person I raced, I was on the brakes at the 1000' mark to make sure I was not going to break out. Its too bad too, cause it would have beat yesterdays best time. Math shows it would have been somewhere around 15.38 in the quarter mile.

After doing some math, not taking into account any linear acceleration from the 1000' to the 1320' I have come up with an estimated 1/4 mile time if I did not drag the brakes from the 1000' mark.

15.358 !!
