Get OEM struts from the dealer or take them from a parted out SVX. Post athread in the Parts Wanted section here and someone might be able to hook you up.

Go through Mychailo and you might be able to get some struts with Koni inserts for better than OEM handling.
Full Konis and Koni inserts are sold elsewhere but I hear the full Konis run upwards of 3 grand, and the inserts require welding for some reason.

Ive heard that the OEM struts from dealers have had failure problems from sitting around for years without being used, they run about $125/ea, plus another $75/ea or so if you need new mounts. The konis will run you about $800 for the set, but they are just inserts so you do need to dissect the stock struts, add another $400 or so if you want upgraded springs. You can pick up a used set of struts for about $50-75/ea, and may even be able to get the whole assembly so that you don't need to worry about removing the springs.

Liberty Subaru in NJ www.newsubaru.com will get ya 'em for right around $100 a piece. Both Jason and Russ are great to deal with and charge actual shipping not 10% of the bill.

the "solution" to "old/new" struts is to have the install done by the dealer -- this way, when they blow out after less than 1,000 miles you'll still be under warranty for the parts and labor. It appears that they either blow out after around 1,000 miles or they'll last 100,000

Mychailo will make up a set of 4 springs and koni struts for 1100.00US plus shipping. Less for just the struts. Koni is currently out of stock in USA.

Guess that all depends on what you consider
"a good price"

We sell the OE units for about $600 set plus shipping
