Switch for the 1.4 Chip

Question, do you need to install a switch for the 87 octane chip or can you just install the chip and be done with it?

if you want to use the 87 octane code you need to install a switch.

if you don't want to use teh 87 octane code you can just install the chip and be done with it.

Significant Technical Input
It doesn't work that way. If you want to be on the 87 octane code all the time you need to install the wire. You can leave the switch out and just connect straight to the power source if you don't want to be able to switch back to the premium version. Switches are cheap though. You might as well use one and just tuck it up under the dash so you don't have to worry about mounting it.

One place I've installed a switch is in the coin holder. I got the switch from a dead ATX power supply (the master power switch) and mounted it upside down in the top of the coin holder. Very inconspicuous and you can still put coins in there.
