My daughter just bought a Neon. It has a spoiler.

I saw a Neon today with "NEON" emblazoned across the hood in huge letters (as if we wouldn't have otherwise known).

I once tried to talk a lady friend's son into buying an SVX. He bought a Neon instead.

i thought about buying a neon in 1995. test drove one and everything. good mileage. cheap car. bought a toyota camry instead.

after leaving the greenville office one night heading up to the charlotte office during a winter season, i hit an ice patch in the rental volvo and slide into a guardrail on the interstate. killed the car. went to the spartanburg airport to pick up the only available car left on the lot....a neon. this was 2-3 years ago. same cheap car, but i'll be damned caused 1 tank or so took me from greenville to charlotte to birmingham and nearly back to atlanta.

two thumbs for gas mileage.

The Dodge Neon is an inexpensive, reasonably comfortable and reliable small car that has a large trunk and gets very good gas mileage. Its base 132 hp engine is not quite as refined as a Corollas or a Civics engine but is ever bit as reliable. The Corolla and Civic also get slightly better gas mileage than the Neon. But, that is basically because they weight about 200 lbs. less. Generally, speaking, a base Neon will be about $1,300 less than a comparably equipped Civic or Corolla. Its only major down fall in any comparison test against the Toyota and Honda is its resale value. But, if your panning on purchasing a Neon and keeping it for a long time this will not matter. I also believe, the Neon is slightly cheaper to insure than the industry leading Civic and Corolla. And considering the fact the Corolla and Civic have been around since the early 70s its rather amazing to me the Neon is a good as it is. I believe the Neon is/was the only profitable 4 cylinder car Chrysler has ever built. Its a shame its being phased out and will soon be replaced.

wasting

i wouldn't go as far saying that it was great, the interior was crappier than a volkswagen. within 2 years all the plastic started to fall apart. i dated some women that drove them. every so often i'd put my hand on something and it would break clean off.

didn't they have a head gasket problem too? problems with the engine?

You conveniently left out the smiley! HOW DARE YOU!!

And what you failed to grasp was that this thread was about my fiance' driving a neon, not about the history of the neon and how it compares to other similar vehicles!

Moreover its JOKE.

P.S. If you quote me again, you damn well had better include my smileys!!
