Car and Driver mention SVX and print pic
The latest issue of Car and Driver mentions the SVX and even prints a nice picture. The issue is the 50th anniversary issue, so it has little blubs from past issues. Talks about the unique look of the SVX and they compare it to the VW Phaeton wondering why anyone would pay $25k for a Subaru in 1991 (or $90k for a VW today). Nice pic of a Laguna Blue though.
Sorry I don’t have the issue on me (forgot it at home). If anyone has it handy, take a look on page 161 (I think) and correct me with the exact wording. -Matt |

I have that issue right here in front of me. I subscribe to Car and Driver, Motor Trend, and Automobile. I think all 3 did reviews of the B9 this month, and all 3 mentioned the risk with the nose on it, and then refrenced the SVX .

page 216:
Like Batman's Version of a Firebird Subaru introduces its SVX coupe, complete with Batmobile side windows. We wonder aloud who will pay $25,445 for a subaru, just as today we wonder aloud who will pay $89,000 for a Volkswagen.

Could someone with the magazine please scan the relevant bits and put them in their locker so we could all see it?

The Tribeca is the 3rd Subaru to use that aweful face (something I didn't know until seeing it in the article that the R1 and R2 micro cars use it already) and every review has been favorable with minor negatives (nav screen seems to be a big one) but everyone says the new nose is not attractive. It took the heat of of Audi's new grill, Subaru's is worse.

When I saw that little blurb in the magazine, well ... I was just happy it was there. And they did use a good photo. Looks suspiciously like my SVX.

I never really saw the "Bat mobile" in the SVX, but it is funny because a few weeks ago a young kid was walking around out side my shop with his dad when he spotted my car and said "look dad the bat mobil!!" OK
