That wasn't the only autox going on yesterday:

The photographer said the pics of my car weren't too exciting because it sits so flat in the corners.

That's embarassing man! Go spend the $20 and get some real numbers for your car!!! It looks like a stinking Honda with the tape!

Why would I get numbers if I only race 2 or 3 times a year?

Mychailo,
Nope, Austin only took pictures from one location. Think I might just have to go to the softer "stock" setting on the rear bar
At least I didn't rip any of the front attachment points off this time - my machinist/welder did a great job TIG welding the bracket back on the passenger's side strut
-Bill
p.s. okay, enough with the posting my own pics within your posts! How did you do it??

Ben,
Nah, they're not to concerned about rotors as long as they're the stock size. Now a cone filter sitting in the engine compartment would definitely nail you, as would having any of the interior missing (I ran the Test'n'Tune without the back seat installed - had it out for the Koni install - and the Tech guys mentioned that it had to be in for Stock...)
-Bill (living the life that is "Bill-Stock" )

You would kick butt in "Bill-Stock" here in Winnipeg!

I wouldn't even know how to classify my car considering the 5spd. (wouldn't want to be in a MOD class!)

I chose DSS.

p.s. We had a 1998 Forester competing...check out how he did!

Well, Mr. Garfield was back again - kicking butt and taking names - he had the fastest PAX time of the day. I was able to keep to my goal of being in the top 10 of my class...weird thing is that I don't remember hitting any cones, but then again the back end was flying around on me so fast that it might have caught them
-Bill (definitely going to shoot for keeping all four wheels on the ground next time...)
p.s. I'm really getting tired of MINI Coopers.....
p.p.s I will catch that SE-R next time...
p.p.p.s I PAX'ed in at 121 out of 230 drivers....the 63.310 run would have put me at 79th!! (92nd last month...)

That's great, but he shouldn't be in stock, then. If I was in his class I'd be pissed. The struts are okay for stock, but the springs and bar are not.

Of course, it's all relative. I don't get mad at somebody running in my class illegally unless they're beating me. And even then, I've got to feel pretty confident in how I drove that day. So far I still have a lot to learn. In most cases I tell myself that I should have beaten the guy even if he was cheating.

The SCCA where ever I've been would have strongly suggested that it be classed right if it had drilled or slotted rotors on it. By the suggestion I'm sure someone would object if the car was a trophy winner. There's a Grand Prix that runs in one of the Street mod/prepared classes here b/c it has non-stock rotors on it.

I can't afford to race/abuse my daily driver for points.

Once I have a house and new daily driver (thinking about a Smart) then maybe I'll consider competing in the SVX.
