haaaaa!! maybe u r right, i did bang the transmission with power in reverse gear. and the first gear was doing nothing from then just moving the car like a small baby learning to move

Anyway, now i am goin to change to 4.44 4EAT and i hope i will enjoy it if the swapping is successful.

Thumbs up 4.44 4EAT in

Hi Guys,

A 4.44 4EAT from a 97 Legacy Outback has been successfully installed in my car by me and Tom[svxfiles]'s brother Mark. Now the 4.44's is rocking like anything and i can feel the difference. It's just pulling the car like anything.

But i was left with a couple of issues,

1) My front speed sensor is not working (so no speedometer )
The dealer price for a new one is exceptionally high ($198+tax)
So at present I am in need of a speed sensor.

2) The steering is off now, so i think i have to give my car for wheel alignment.

3) I am not able to take out the passenger side front support sub frame flange bolt #19 in this diagram so i have to look for someone to fix it up, since everyone overhere r booked till wednesday of next week, but i am trying at other places. (Update: Fixed by the same shop who looked at my tranny earlier )

Hmm thts all for now, i will keep updated.

-Pavan

When Pavans spedo did not work, Mark installed his SVX speed sensor in Pavans SVX, and it worked.
So then Mark reinstalled Pavans spedo sensor, and reinstalled Marks spedo sensor into Mark's SVX.

mmm, i love riddles, i guess each one's sensor is back in its place and the whole issue made no sense since Mark's SVX sensor was installed in Pavans Svx and Pavan's SVX sensor was installed in Mark's SVX sensor then Pavan's original sensor was put in Pavan's SVX and Mark's SVX sensor was reinstalled in Mark's SVX... so nobody lost nothing and everybody is happy back with his sensor except Pavan's SVX sensor which is not working and he needs for that same as Mark's SVX sensor which is working properly in Mark's SVX.

Does it make sense what i said?

Mark's SVX sensor was tried on Pavan's car then reinstalled back in Mark's car. the same goes for Pavan's SVX sensor. Plain and simple
