3. Brooklyn NY 88k 90 day war. for $500

All of the engines have been run and are claimed to be in good condition. I may be making a trip up to NY for engine #3 next week. I need to crunch some #'s and see what I wanna do.

Good luck with the engine search Tom. That 88K engine for $500 seems to be a good price!

Hey Tom,

Do you have any factory exhaust pipe lying around? I dented the pipe between my driver's side header and the O2 sensor bung. I was wondering if you had the complete driver's side exhaust section (that runs between the header and the third cat)?

Thanks!

Update

I have begun the teardown of the new engine so it will be ready for the swap on wed. Oil pan needs to be replaced and I will have the intake manifold steam cleaned to get all of the scum out from inside it. I will be using the oil pan off my current engine along with timing covers and motor mounts. Dropped the pan today and the crank case looks very clean so this tells me this engine didn't sit toooooo long. Anyway I will keep posting updates when I can.

Status update
The car is in the process of being dismantled now. I have stripped just about everything thta needs to be done for me to take the engine out. I am also cleaning the intake manifold on the new engine. I am using 2+2 gunk cutter. This stuff works wonders and is stripping all of the oily residue out from inside the manifold. I would suggest this for anyone.

Hey Tom, try fantastic on the engine if she's got some oil grime on it! It worked great for me!!! Much better, cheaper and safer for the world than any auto grease killer that I've tried.
