yes I do plan on going after I get out of school for the semester. The only nights I will be able to go is thursdays and as of right now i am bogged down with papers and studying for finals. Not to mention i have a night class on thursdays. So in 2 weeks when I will be done for the semester, I will try to get over to Acto and make a few runs. I will take a pic of the slip and post it here.

Cool! Can't wait to see the slip. The biggest thing you'll need to sort out on a 5MT is the launch - as it's very easy to bog down coming of the line. Once you have that figured out and can crack out some quick & smooth shifts going down the strip, a 14 sec timeslip will await.

Phil (Phastsvx) has a 4.11 5MT. He ran a bunch of 15.1's before getting into the 14's. It just takes practice and a smooth wrist...

P.S. Racing an auto at the track is child play - brake torque up to the stall speed and go on the 3 amber light. This is one reason I'll always keep an auto trans in my SVX. The FXT I'll be getting will be my manual car.

Launch is definately going to need some work. I refuse to launch my car anywhere except the track as to keep my trans as long as I can. I am hoping for low 15's my first couple runs and dip into the 14's by then end of the day.

I was getting 14's with my 3.90 5 speed, my best being a 14.7. I had a few 4 wheel burn out launches and 2nd gear chirps. But on my best run I actually slipped the clutch comming off the line for the best launch. (I REPEAT, DO NOT DUMP THE CLUTCH) just let it slide.

And yes as of right now I am planning on going, and depending on how things work out I may be on the bottle again.

My ex-boss, Ken B. lives very close to Atco. He has 2 SVXes (+ Lotuses) and is a Network member. He is not active on the Network. We are trying to work out something with him & his wife. We want to go out to eat with them then we will all come over to Atco as spectators and to cheer you guys on at about 6:30PM.

I hope I can get it to all work out. It is difficult because a Thursday is a work day for all of us.

I will keep you informed of our plans.

This new job was just too sweet to pass up as I'll be coming in as a Senior Acct Manager and Executive Recruiter. I've also been hired directly by the President & CEO whom I've known for over 2 years. Needless to say she made me an offer I couldn't refuse...
