Thanks for the update, Randy. Odd coincidence, because this thread crossed my mind this morning before I got to my computer.

Hang tough, Mark.

Hey, guys. I just got this response back from Sharon Tente:

Quote:
Randy,

Thanks, you sure can send cards of encourgement to get him more motivated. The address that would be the best to send them to is : 11765 Oak Street, Chisago City, MN 55013 as soon as I get a phone number for the Rehab I will let you know. Mark is really doing good, he past a swallow test today - that was big deal for us!

Thanks again Randy for checking in with us on his condition that means alot to both of us.

Sincerly
Sharon M Tente

I've replied to the above email, asking her if it might be appropriate to call Mark next Saturday from the Reading Meet and have everyone blow their horns, simultaneously as a show of support. Hopefully I'll hear from her this weekend.

Meanwhile, guys, send Mark a letter or a card to encourage and motivate him. Let's make him so jealous that he's not in his SVX that he'll push hard to get back on the road again.

Awsome Randy!

Thanks for getting the info for us, hopefully you'll get the number cause it would be really cool to hear all those horns going off at once!

This is where this family is so great. They stand behind and beside a member when they need it most. Where can you find anything better than that. I am proud to be a member of this group. I will get a letter off to him. Thanks Randy for getting the contact for us.

Guys,
I got a response back from Sharon about the big "horn blowing tribute" to Mark on Saturday. He will still be in the Hospital when we call, if he hasn't been moved to rehab. She gave me the number to his hospital room, but, will contact me if they move him, with the correct number to call. Just a note: in the last paragraph, she's responding to the fact that I told her that Mark is a valued member of our community and that we hope he recovers soon. As for calling to blow horns -- Here's what she said:

Quote:
Randy,

That would blow his mind (sorry for the pun) if you guys would do that, the best time late morning to early afternoon would be a good time for him. It will depend if he gets transported to rehab by the end of the week or not. Every doc has a different idea when it is a good time to send him over there, so we will have to wait and see and usual around here. The waiting game is on!

Yes, he is sure a big SVX fan and good member to have as part of the club. Too bad we won't know when the next time he will be able to drive his car yet though, I have a feeling it is going to be a while.

Sharon Tente

Soooo, put this on your schedule for something we'll do prior to the Rally on Saturday. I told her that the sound of 40-odd SVX horns might just motivate him to push through rehab quicker.

Keep those thoughts 'n' prayers comin'!

Red face

Let's also do a BIG "Get well soon, Mark" sign, & hold it up in front of the crowd & cars for a digital photo we can zap to him.

Ron.

Since I can't make it to reading I just dropped a card in the mail with a little teaser inside.
No one can resist svx-network window stickers.
Now he'll have to get better.

Excellent! Hate it that you're not making it to Reading, but, I certainly understand. All the best to the missus.
