I Miss My Car!!!
It's been in the shop nearly a whole week now and it's killing me. I had to trade the Baja (dealer wanted it back) for an Impreza RS. Sorry, but yeck! Too small, too rough for my SVX taste. I WANT MY SVX back! I know others have endured more/longer waits, and now I feel their pain.
The good news is I'm getting several new parts: Front driver side brake caliper (piston frozen), transfer clutch, and rear 'propeller shaft'. They tell me over $1800 worth of stuff. All for the low low price of the $50 deductable. I'm so glad the dealer 'forced' me to by that extended warranty. Now my only nagging question will be, what caused all these failures? I'm mostly a highway driver, fast but not mean. Previous leasee? Who put 35K miles on in her two year lease.

I feel your pain...
What's up with your propeller shaft? Was it bent or out of balance? Mine went into the shop today for a new transfer clutch/solenoid so I feel your pain already, brother! With Thankgiving being this week I don't anticipate seeing her until next week. Let me know if you need any moral support or a shoulder to cry on cause I'm in the same boat.
I thought about making some wise crack about a special amphibian option (propeller shaft) that my SVX did not come with but I decided you were in enough pain

Propeller shaft
Actually, one of my friends asked if I was installing the special amphibian option.
I don't know what a "propeller shaft" looks like, but I suppose it has gears on it that are 'not right' because that's the low grinding sound I hear back there. Like large gears not quite meshing.... I plan on asking as many questions as they will allow when I get there. hhmmmm..?? No call yet and they said they'd have it done today!

I got the call last night in my voice mail. I get my car back tonight!!!
I'm hoping for a complete recovery from the shakes, grinds, and other ailments...
