tires/brakes/questions

I am not sure if this goes in general or tech. q&a. So here goes:

I got the tires replaced with Pirelli P6000 Sport Veloce in June. I replaced the front rotors/pads around that time too. I replaced the back rotors/pads around October.

I just took the SVX in for 4500 mile tire rotation/balancing and i found out that front pads are close to metal and tire is about 3/4 way worn out. That is in less than a year. Am I just driving too much or are you guys/gals facing similar issues with that?

thanks

lwin

I'm not great when it comes to the technical side of cars, but poor alignment or worn shocks and struts might cause the tire wear?
Another thing. When I went to get new tires, I was told that pirellis would wear quickly in comparison to other choices. I don't know if this is true, but just letting you know.
As for the pads, they wear quickly on the SVX as you probably know, so don't be too supprised. I went throught a pair in a couple of months.
Dave.

This mostly depends on your driving habits. I always get 40-50k out of high end Pirellis and almost that from my stock brake pads. Is there a distinct wear pattern on the tires? Habits? Miles? B.

I got the tires at about 78k miles and now I have 104k. So I guess I do drive a lot. And that is in 9 and 1/2 months.
