Ricer crispies (Snap, Crackle, Pop)

Looks like I've been (somewhat) accused of being anti-ricer. Now just let me make this perfectly murky.

I like my (basically stock - except for the hundreds of "Adopt a Retired Greyhound" stickers ), SVX just the way it is - but - if I had another, and an unlimited supply of d-nerios, it would be decidedly ricey. There's all kinds of rolling art out there in the world, and if that's what strikes ya fancy, have at it.

I'm just not gonna do it to my 'baby'.

Lwin- (EDIT: THIS ISN'T LWIN. HA HA HA OOPS.)

I agree.. to an extent.

I think that the SVX's body needs little improvement, but unfortunately for us, the folks over at Subaru didn't do quite as good a job on the drivetrain as they did on the overall design & concept of the car.

While I can appreciate the desire to maintain a vehicle to its original form, I think that since we are given the oppurtunity to improve on a good thing, it is to be considered our duty.

The body? THE BODY?!? You're going to IMPROVE the body? In the woids of a great man: "That's the most rediculous thing I ever hoid."

you misunderstand

You misunderstand. The body is one of the two truly outstanding components of this car and does not to be modified. I think that aftermarket wheels are the only step that needs to be taken to improve on the car's outward physical appearance.

The SVX's flat-6 is the other aspect of the car which is best left unchanged. IMHO it is a truly wonderful machine and seems to be quite bulletproof if properly maintained.

Most other elements of the vehicle could stand some updating.

I'm with you on this one. I like having a totally stock SVX. I would eventually like to restore it to better-than-new condition and preserve it forever.

However, I would also like to get a second one and mod the hell out of it.

What did I do? I am into upgrading some parts of the car -- majority of them being interior mods. I was never into having a tin can stuck in the ass of the SVX. Those are NOT cool! SVX is a great car and majority of the body should be left that way. Kill the water fall grill and replace with the prototype grill. Now we are talking. I don't like the 97 grill either but it's better than waterfall.
