Finally met some SVX "legends"

This one's pretty much for the "old timers" (people that have been around these boards since before this one existed).

Last weekend at West Coast Subaru Show 6 I finally met a couple of SVX legends, Mark and Kyra. I call them legends because back "in the day", their's was one of the SVX web sites we all remember browsing to and they were famous as one of the first dual SVX owning households (having his and hers SVXes). They were active members on the Yahoo board and were kinda my predecessors in that they were the original organizers of SVX gatherings in the Pacific Northwest.

As many of you know, a couple years back they sold their SVXes and now have a couple of 4 door Imprezzas (growing family). They are still very active in the Subaru enthusiasts community and that's why I saw them at the show, hanging with the WRX/Imprezza crowd. They came over to check out the SVXes and we talked shop a few minutes.

Anyway, thought it was kinda funny and just wanted to let all of you that remember them know that they are still doing well and have many fond SVX memories.

hahaha..I remember that site too. I'd get soooo pissed off when I searched Yahoo and Google or whatever was popular back then (Web crawler??) because that was the only good page that ever showed up on any of them. I thought "There must be more," but now I realize there wasn't anything more. haha...that was a while ago, geez!

Anyone remember Florida's joeaux? He is (was?) a member here, but had a nice homemade site prior to The Network's creation featuring his mint, stock Barcelona red jewel. I corresponded with him prior to my purchase in January of 2001. Hi, Joe if you're lurking.

Ron.

It was AltaVista back then. I remember their website too and it makes me sad that they sold both of em... I mean, why not just one?
