The 18's are great, I get lots of looks and compliments on them... But they just wern't what I really wanted... I had to kinda settle for them because my others got stolen... I am a fan of 17's not 18's... The tires are great, they are Kumho Supra 712's... Wear is almost nothing considering I've put nearly 5,000 miles on them!!!! But then again that is all Hiway driving, back and forth from Beaufort, SC to Atlanta, GA and Greensboro, NC... If you are interested feel free to make me an offer... I haven't really thought about a price yet but the resale of everthing I think was $1,200... I'd like to get something close to that since the wheels are in great shape and have nothing wrong with them at all... Before I sell them I'm also gonna take them off my car and put a coat of wax on them... That'll make them shine more and keep brake dust off them for the first month or so of use that the other person uses them...

Thanks for the reply man!!! What would be a good off set to have if I want a Wide and muscuolar look (especially in the rear)??? Could I go to 45mm in the rear and 55 in the front without any heartburn? Would that give me the look that I want??? I like it when the rear tires look wider than the fronts... But did my research and I can't change the tire size (width) in the rear because there would be the tiniest amount of rotational speed between the front and rears... That isn't good in our cars... What to do???

Going with different offset in the front and rear wouldn't be my first choice. The front is what really needs the higher offset, and having different offsets would prevent rotating the tires back to front which is the direction they need to go the most.
My suggestion would be to go with 17x8.5" rims with a 50 mm offset. Then you could mount up 245/40-17 tires which would look more muscular and an 8.5" wide rim/tire would fill out the fender well nicely. The only problem here is that there aren't many rims with those specs, and the one's that I've been able to find aren't cheap. Also, wider rims and tires weigh more which will slow the acceleration of the car, and make it more difficult for the suspension to keep the wheels on the ground on bumpy corners. If you want to get an idea of what's available, go to tirerack.com, and look up wheels for a 2002 Honda S2000. That car has nearly the same offset as our SVX and the same bolt pattern. Another option might be to go with a 17x8" wheel and a 235/45-17. This is the combo used by the 2003 Lancer Evo 8. This car also has a high offset wheel like that of our cars and the same bolt pattern. You can look at wheels for this car on tirerack.com to get more options.

You could find 17 by 8.5 inch that weigh less than stock rims.

Here is a small excel program to help figure out the height and width of any tire. I used this when costumers wanted wider tires but not that much taller tires.
Hope this helps
