Rear headrests - removable?

I need to remove one of the headrests in the rear so that a child seat is positioned properly. I didn't notice any latches, or something that holds it in place, except for a small metallic lever - that appears to be stuck. Is it the lever for releasing the headrest?

Yes, reach in with your finger, it should move one way or the other way. Doesn't move much, but it will release the headrest. Lever is only on one of the two headrest posts.

It's just a spring wire,
you may have to bump the headrest up or down to free the wire in the notch of the post, then the wire should move easily when you reach a finger in to push/pull the wire. Good luck
