Wow, my engine @ 14PSI has an effective compression ratio of 19:1
and my truck's is close to 40:1 (diesel) 17:1 compression ratio + 16psi (I'm pretty sure it's 16psi, I could be wrong, I've never put a boost gauge on it...)

Bill... In the case of me breaking riong lands... That was audible detonation that killed that motor. I am running more timing now than I was then with just as much boost, now that my fuel tables are more stable and I have an engine management system worth 2 craps

Water Injection would help. But having enough fuel at the right times is pretty crucial IMHO
