reprograming a remote keyless

I just went through this with the same problems, eventually realizing you need to be quick about it all. The only difference is I get no parking light flashes. In fact my lights have never flashed when using the remote, just the horn toots and interior lights come on. Can something be amiss?

Sounds like a problem with the parking light relay inside the module. Unplug the module from the car, carefully open the cover, and look at the relay -- it's very large and open.

You can look at the contacts and see if you can move the armature manually. You can even plug the module back into the car and watch whether it moves at all. Or break out a voltmeter to do some real testing.

Just be careful handing the security module -- it contains static-sensitive components.

Ok, so I got the module out and the relay doesn't operate. Is there anyone who knows of someone that repairs these?
