What a great winter car!!

This morning it was about -10F and the SVX started up just like it was summer. The snow grip is really good too even with performance tires. This is the best driving and handling car I've ever had. My 2005 Outback XT is a little quieter (much less road noise), rides smoother and might accellerate a little quicker, but the SVX really holds its own in the handling-good looking-fun to drive department. Cudos to Subaru for designing such a great car that still seems fresh today.

**disclaimer** Because of getting a previous thread locked, I have no comment as to which car wins in a drag race situation.

Steve

Winter tires make a big difference too. If you get the right ones, they can almost climb a tree!!!

I'd like to see that.

Hell I'm almost tempted to try.

Saturday night coming home from my daughter's basketball game in Columbus, I had to drive about 100 miles through the pouring rain, and it was only 25 degrees outside! Needless to say the roads were shear ice, the ice was building up on my windshield, and NOBODY else was on the road. Oh yea, not a snow plow or salt truck in sight either. Mostly driving on 2-lane state highways in Amish country - not even the buggies were out. But my '94 Lsi handled like a champ. With 150,000 miles on her, she still drives like a dream (just turned a 16.003 1/4 mile with Budfreak1 last month) and handles superbly. About the only time it slid at all was when some stupid deer walked out in front of me & I had to slam the breaks. Sure hope that brown spot on the leather comes out.

Actually, since it was Holmes County, I don't think I even SAW a stop sign. There was a traffic light in Berlin & I plowed right thru it.
