Timing Belt Change Interval
 When is the timing belt supposed to be changed in an SVX. For example, 6 years or 80k miles whichever comes first. Also, what other parts do you replace when doing the belt. Water Pump, cam seals, crank seals, etc. What belt should one use, original subaru, Napa, etc.

Is the maintenance interval Subaru recommends for engine oil changes truly 7,500 miles?

Hmm, it says to check the wheelbearing lubricant at 60,000 miles.
Is that were we could be going wrong?

Which unless you live in the midwest sticks and only drive on the highway I think that pretty much covers everybody here then you should change it every 3750. I know this has been Subaru's recommendation at least through the EA-81 engine series (early 80s) and probably even earlier.

Chike You need to change your oil more often so that you can oil the road out in front of your house so it isn't as dusty.
