low idle

alright sorry to resurect this one but when i start up my car it most of the time starts up and then idles at about 500rpm's which i thought had to be low but by seeing this thread i guess it is not.
but sometimes it starts up and then dies!?!
it did this after i had had it for only 4 days!!!!! and now that i have had it for almost 3 weeks it has only done that one other time since then which was this sunday that just passed.
i just hope that this car doesnt die on me. and i just got owned by a second gen eclipse gsx tonight, so iam thinking about lowering my standards and getting a mitsubishi. because while the svx has alot of show, it just didnt have the go.

Eclipse GSXs are very fast; they "own" a lot of cars.

The SVX wasn't made for that kind of speed; it was made as a sport luxury tourer. If you want quicker 0-60 cars, by all means, get a GSX OR WRX OR SRT-4 OR EVO.

but there is one problem
i am 18, and not the token rich white kid with mommy to buy me a car so....no GSX, WRX, SRT-4, or EVO for me

sounds like mine too. but maybe my idle is slightly higher w/o ac...
did u notice that when the engine's warming up...the rpm will adjust itself up and down abit? it did that to mine...

lol...maybe...also get looks and class...but not very cheap to drive and feed....

mine does this too sometimes it is up at 1500rpms and other times it is down at 500
