Question Sqveekie Breaks

Anyone know about how much it'd cost me to get my brakepads replaced up at the local subaru maintenance place (yes i know i could probably do it myself, but i dont have time to do it. ever.) breaks are squeeking like a rabid mouse, and its right at the pressure you put the foot on the brakes with to just slow down, y'know where any less and you rear-end the guy in front of you, and any more and you go through the windshield? y'all know what i mean? yea... need to replace the break pads, how much would it cost to get the shop to do it for me?

Thanks much

IMHO, I would never pay a shop to do something as simple as changing the pads. You're probably looking at about $200+ plus parts, for a job that I could teach a monkey to do. You may not even need new pads, it could be something just shifted (happened to me) and the shims aren't laying right (or maybe you don't have shims if the pads on their are aftermarket).
