Data Logger?

Does anyone make any sort of datalogger system that would work on my OBDI 92?
Or for that matter is this even possible?
I would like to know what my engine is seeing.
I also want to "see" it go vroooom on my laptop.

I waited because I don't know of any. Maybe there are none, but unless someone lets us know, we have to take that as a no.

The only "plug in" reader that I'm aware of is the Subaru Select Monitor. That is the too that the dealerships use. They have different modules for different cars and years.

Over the years, a few people have started discussions about creating harness, board and reader for the ODB1 SVX's but I don't recall seeing any completed

Ok, I'm watching.

I did find one place that made cables for their loggers for OBDI DSM's and only DSM's.
I assume that means that the connectors are different for different makes?
I'm sure there are lots of cheaper, and more effective mods.
I just really wanted to see what my engine sees, and when...
Especially with the 1v5 chips in there.

Oh well, I'm also sure that if I had one hooked up to my laptop I'd spend more time watching that then where I was going, and probably drive into a snowbank...

I remember seeing that posted before? I'm not sure if anyone has tried it yet?

Yep, seems someone else had the same idea as the previous website.
This one though has slightly easier to understand(for me) directions.
And is being used in SVXi, not vanagons.

I'm going to see how much the components are, and if I can even find them in this country.

I'd also need to figure out how to link a serial port(who uses those anymore) to the usb port on my laptop.
